Crackle burgers are known as the most popular comfort food. It can be a classic cheese and beef combo or you can spice it up with different flavors and combinations according to your taste. Crackle burgers can be stuffed, hot, and sweet or piled high with toppings. From turkey and carrots to onion rings and fried eggs. Burgers are a versatile and fulfilling food that’s a hearty snack and a complete meal. 

Here are seven burger recipes that are out of this world.

1. Clang Crackle Burgers Recipe

Clang burgers are mini crackle burgers piled with meat and cheese to hit your mouth with a clang of flavor in one bite. They are the perfect party snack for a birthday party or game nights.

Ingredients for Buns

  • 1tbsp dry yeast
  • 150ml warm water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Flour 240g
  • 15g sugar
  • 1 egg, 1 egg white
  • Salt


Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Mix yeast with water and let it rise for 5 minutes. Now add egg, salt, and flour and mix well.

Line the muffin tin with grease paper and pour out portions of the mixture. Cover with a towel and let it rise for fifteen minutes. Whip the egg white and brush it on top of the buns. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Let it cool before you take them out. Layer up with your favorite patty and sauce layers and enjoy.

You can also place an ice cream stick in the crackle burgers to keep from getting your fingers dirty.

2. Mozzarella bursting ham 

Cheese is an all-time favorite part of a burger. For extra yumminess, patties can be stuffed with cheese for a burst of flavor at every bite.


  • Burger Buns
  • Mashed potato (2 cups)
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cheese Slices
  • Butter
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Tomato Slices
  • Cucumber Slices
  • Black pepper Powder
  • Mayonnaise


In a bowl, mix potatoes, black pepper, and mozzarella cheese. Make patties by stuffing some cheese in the center of the patty. Cover with bread crumbs for texture.

Heat some butter in a pan and shallow fry the patties on both sides until golden brown. Prepare the burger buns by cutting them in half and applying mayonnaise.

Layer up with tomato and onion slices, cheese slices, stuffed patty, and tomato sauce.

For extra crispiness, you can shallow fry the buns in some butter as well.

3. Saga blue steak Crackle Burgers 

This grilled awesomeness is an excellent addition to family barbecues for cheese lovers.


  • Beef Steak (Cut into bun size)
  • Fresh green onions, cut into rings
  • Sage, finely chopped
  • Blue cheese slices
  • Buns and Condiments
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.


Grill the steak piece on the covered grill for about 30 mins. Take it out when done and cut it into pieces to fit inside the burger. Two for each bun.

Place a slice of cheese on top of the burgers and seal with a little water. Heat grill the burgers until done.

Pile up the burger with cheese slices, steak pieces, sliced onions, and tomatoes and top up with fresh sage. You’re going to love these!

4. Freekeh chili ham

Freekeh is a type of wheat or durum wheat that is a common part of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine in countries like Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria. It has a nutty flavor that works great with beetroot or carrots in these healthy burgers.

The vegetarian chili is every bit as warm and hearty as its meaty option. The beans and Freekeh provide the creaminess and thickness to make it the perfect addition to your burger. 

5. Crackle Burgers – ingredients


  • Olive Oil 1tbsp
  • One Chopped Onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 carrots, peeled and finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 jalapeño
  • Pinto beans 15 oz (canned or freshly boiled)
  • Black beans 15 oz (canned or freshly boiled)
  • Kidney beans 15 oz (canned or freshly boiled)
  • Vegetable Broth
  • Chilli Powder 2tbsp
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Oregano

6. Freekeh carrot Ham

  • One Chopped Onion
  • 2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and grated
  • ½ cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 180g roasted cracked wholegrain Freekeh
  • 2tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan. Add onion, carrots, and bell pepper. Sauté until onions are caramelized, then add jalapeno and garlic and stir for five minutes. Add tomatoes, beans and broth, and seasonings. Bring to a boil then cook on medium heat until a saucy thickness is achieved.

You can add sour cream to make it creamier or a tbsp. of crushed Freekeh and stir for 1 minute.

Cook the Freekeh according to packet instructions, it’ll take about 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until slightly brown. Pour them out in a bowl and mix with the cooked Freekeh, oregano, parsley, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate for half an hour so the ingredients can integrate well. 

Shape the mixture into patties and lightly coat it with whole-grain flour or breadcrumbs. Shallow fry on both sides and serve with a generous helping of salad.

Enjoy with vegetarian chili and indulge without guilt.

7. Kimchi bacon with cheddar Crackle Burgers sandwich 

  • 1/4 cup sambal oelek (Indonesian chile sauce)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • Salt
  • Cheese Slices
  • Burger buns
  • 1 cup chopped and drained Kimchi


Grill the bacon on medium heat until golden brown and crispy. Mix sambal, ketchup, and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Form the beef into bun sized patties and season with salt. Grill over medium heat until done. Layer up the crackle burgers with sambal mayo, and cheese and grill over high heat until golden brown. Top up with kimchi and remaining mayonnaise.  

8. Healthy beetroots turkey ham 

This healthy deliciousness can be stored in the freezer for about a month. 


  • 500g minced turkey
  • ½ tbsp. dried thyme
  • 1 lemon
  • 250g fresh beetroot, chopped
  • Red onion, finely chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Wholegrain mustard
  • Pitta bread for serving


Mix turkey with thyme, seasoning, and lemon zest in a bowl. Shape into patties and let it chill until ready to cook.

Mix the beetroot juice with ½ of the lemon, onion, parsley, and mustard. Grill the patties on both sides until golden brown. Serve with beetroot sauce, lettuce, and pitta bread.

9. Double Pancetta Onion Mustard and Jalapeno Rarebit  

Ingredients of Crackle Burgers

1. Cheeseburgers

  • 12 thin slices of pancetta
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheese Slices
  • Lettuce and tomato Slices
  • Burger buns

2. Jalapeno Rarebit

  • Butter 25g
  • Plain Flour 25g
  • Mexican Lager 150ml
  • Mustard 1tbsp
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Pickled Jalapeno 2tbsp, chopped


1. To make the rarebit mixture, melt the butter in a pan and stir in the flour. Cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes until the mixture is light-straw colored. Gradually add the lager until you have a smooth sauce. Stir in the mustard then add the cheddar and stir until melted. Stir in the jalapeños. Pour into a clingfilm- or baking paper-lined 18cm x 18cm tin, spread out evenly, and put in the fridge. When completely set and cold, cut into 4 squares.

  • For the cheeseburgers, preheat the oven to 220 degrees C, and prepare a grill for medium-high heat. Bake the pancetta until golden brown and crisp, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.

2. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Add salt and pepper and mix well. Shape into burger size patties and grill on both sides until golden brown.

3. Layer up your burger with lettuce slices, beef patty, jalapeño slices, and pancetta. Serve with a helping of tomato sauce and cheese.
